Objectives

Pursuant to The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited’s Consultation Conclusions and its ESG Review Findings released on 18 December 2019, the requirements for the ESG reporting have been increased remarkably both in width and depth. It is getting more and more difficult to comply with the new requirements smoothly and competently. In this seminar, the speaker, currently acting as an INED of a listed company, would like to address the new requirements and implications as well as his insights on those challenges being faced by practitioner related to in listed companies.

Speaker Profile

Dr Albert Lung FCIS FCS, CGP, ATIHK, PhD, MBA, being a Fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries, is a corporate governance professional / company secretary. Currently, Dr Lung is engaged in teaching Listing Rules related courses, including ESG, in the Chinese university of Hong Kong (CUSCS). He is also the Assistant Professor of the City University of Macau for the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula. Dr Lung was appointed as an independent non,executive director of a Hong Kong Main Board listed company from 2013 to 2016 and a GEM Board listed company since 2018. Prior to that, he is a company secretary and a financial controller of a Main Board listed company for more than six years. Dr Lung has about thirty years of experience in the corporate governance, finance and accounting fields.”
